HOW I HELP

My experience as a clinical social worker means little if you don't feel comfortable with or trust me. That's why it always starts with the relationship. My first job is to address any concerns a client may have about the counseling process itself. My next job is to make clients as comfortable as possible so that I can gather the information I need to provide the best, most responsive care.

My primary treatment modality is Internal Family Systems therapy. I am Level 3 trained in this approach and believe that it can offer not only an effective means of healing in therapy but also a transformative perspective so that clients can help themselves outside my office. Ultimately, I am not doing my job if I am not helping clients find peace within themselves.

As a social worker, I believe very strongly in collaborating with other service providers. I can't help individuals improve their sense of well-being in my office if they face extraordinary challenges outside my office. I do my best to connect my clients with other resources, be it school-based support or social service assistance, when needed and appropriate.
